AICS Events

We strive to hold multiple events per year for our members. You can usually find specific info on our upcoming events on our Facebook page as a Facebook event. Check out this link to see our upcoming events on Facebook. Learn more about our usual events below, and maybe we’ll see you soon!

Our Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

For over 80 years, the All-Ireland Cultural Society has hosted an annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration that is renowned in our community for being family friendly and tons of fun! We have Irish dancers, Irish music, Irish food, face-painting, a children’s area, raffle items, and more! Check out more info here: 2025 event, 2024 event, 2023 event, virtual event 2022, virtual event 2021.

Pub Socials

We strive to hold pub socials for our members at least once if not multiple times per year.  It’s a great way to get to know one another better, plus we try to rotate between the many wonderful local Irish pubs that we have in the greater Portland area so that we support our community. Once confirmed, we’ll post all the info for our next pub social on our Facebook page as an event.

May Wreath Laying

Every year on Memorial Day, the All Ireland Cultural Society hosts a wreath laying ceremony in the morning at the Famine Memorial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The cemetery is located at 333 SW Skyline Boulevard, Portland, OR 97221. This event is open to all and entirely outdoors. Once confirmed, we’ll post all the info for our next Wreath Laying on our Facebook page as an event.

The famine is such an integral part of our history, both here and in Ireland. Many Irish Americans trace their history back to those who came earlier, having no choice but to flee famine. Those of us who came later appreciate their paving the way for us and greeting us with open arms. A sorrowful part of our history, but one that emphasizes the courage and determination to make the trip. Although we are grateful to be here, we will always have one foot there.

May Appreciation Dinner

Each May we hold an Appreciation Dinner to thank our members from that year who went above and beyond to donate their time, energy, and enthusiasm and served as volunteers and/or on the AICS Board of Directors. Our organization is entirely volunteer-run, so without our passionate and dedicated members who volunteer their time and resources, we wouldn’t be able to support Irish culture in our area the way we do. We appreciate all who make our organization possible and help keep Irish culture alive and thriving in Oregon! Once confirmed, we’ll post all the info for our next Appreciation Dinner on our Facebook page as an event.

2024 Summer Picnic, Sunday, August 18

Each year we hold a wonderful picnic for our members and their family and friends to spend a lovely summer afternoon together. More info on our Facebook page as an event.

Winter Luncheon

Every year we hold a Winter Luncheon, usually in early December. Once confirmed, we’ll post all the info for our next Winter Luncheon on our Facebook page as an event.

We hope you can join us at one of our upcoming events!
