AICS Irish Studies Scholarship
The AICS Irish Studies Scholarship was started in 1979 to promote and advance Irish social and cultural studies for the members of the Club. In 2019 the bylaws were changed to make the scholarship available to the general public, and expanded to include Irish music, Irish dance, Irish song, and Irish sports.
The scholarship fund is limited to $500 per calendar year. The recipient/s of the scholarship/s is to be awarded up to $500 upon completion of study and a report at an AICS general meeting.
Written application must be submitted to the Scholarship committee. Applications are available online and may be submitted to the committee from the 1st of January up to March 31st. Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the board of directors based on the recommendations of the scholarship committee. Those receiving scholarship funds will be notified by the committee and announced at the April general meeting.
